Merry Christmas!

WOW! I can't believe that it is Christmas time already! We are getting ready for our Christmas break at the end of this week and we will be off for three weeks. We will be driving to Wichita Falls and staying the weekend and then we will be driving to Tulsa to spen Christmas with Jeremy's family. We will be there for a week or so and then we will make our way back to Lubbock.

This will be Lucas' first Christmas! Of course he wont know what is going on but it will be fun for us. :) I have realized that I don't really want anything for Christmas because he is the best gift I have ever gotten. Being a mommy has been so wonderful and I feel so blessed to have this little man in my life.

We hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year!! God bless!

Our trip to Arizona

We just got back from our first trip to Arizona to see Jeremy's dad and step-mom and their family. We had a blast! We left last Friday afternoon and drove to Albuquerque NM and spent the night there. The next day we got up early and drove the rest of the way to Mesa, AZ. The drive was absolutely beautiful! It was so cool to see the landscape change from flat farm land to majestic mountains, God's creation is truly amazing!
We spent the week relaxing and playing with Jeremy's two younger brothers Dylan and Dayton. Lucas soaked up all the love and attention from Grandpa Aaron and Mimi and he did great on the long car rides there and back. We had so much fun just spending time with family and relaxing.
This week we start a new term in school, please keep us in your prayers as we continue our studies.
Here are a few pictures from our trip!

Things have been a little crazy...

My goodness things have been pretty busy around here! We have been back in the swing of school for about a month and a half now and things seem to be moving so fast. We only have two weeks left in our first term and then we have a break week. We along with Jeremy's brother Brandon are planning a big trip out to see their dad in Arizona that week. We are planning to drive so please pray that we don't all go insane from Lucas crying in his car seat the whole way! :)

Speaking of Lucas, he is already three months (that is so hard to believe) and he is getting so big. He had started to smile and laugh alot and is cooing all the time now! He is going to be quite the vocal little man. :) He got to spend a little time with Nana and Papa Robey this weekend and he gave them lots of belly laughs!

We are now entering into the time where we are staring to look for a job for after school. We have been praying about exactly what we want to do after school because we have seen that God could use us for a number of different things. Please join us in our prayers as we continue to make decisions and seek God's direction in our lives. We love you all! Here are a few more photos of Lucas!

More pictures!

The first week of school

We survived our first week of school! Of course we were not as nervous as we were this time last year, but it was still just as busy. We have had fun getting to see our friends and catch up on what we did over the summer. The Lord was at work through many of our classmates this summer and many people came to know Him because they took the time to care. Here is a picture of our class, notice the cute baby boy in the front row!

Back in Lubbock!

This summer has been a crazy one! Jeremy and I really enjoyed our time in Wichita Falls this summer and we are really excited about the year ahead. We got back to Lubbock on Sunday night and we have been slowly working on getting our apartment back into shape. We are glad to finally show Lucas his room and have him sleep in his crib!

School starts on Monday the 11th and Jeremy is going to be getting right back into the groove of studying and memorizing. He will be taking Minor Prophets, Ephesians/Colossi ans, Youth and Family, Sacrificial Systems, and a preaching lab. I will not be taking classes for credit this year so that I can have more flexibility with Lucas.

Jeremy's brother Brandon will be starting school at SIBI this year, I am not sure if the school can handle another one of those Aaron boys! :) Please keep him in your payers.

As always we are so thankful for your prayers and support, we are truly blessed! Please pray for us this year as we begin our search for a job after we are finished at Sunset. Please pray that we will have open eyes and open hearts to what the Lord has in store for us. We love you all!

Lucas is growing and changing right before our eyes! He is starting to notice things above his head and he makes some of the funniest faces. :) He will be two weeks old on Friday but it seems like he has been here so much longer than that. We love him so much!

First week at home

Our first week at home has been full of feeding, diaper changes, burping, and lots of joy! Lucas is growing and changing right before our eyes. He is awake more during the day now and is looking around alot and he loves to kick his little legs and flex his arms. We took him up to the hospital on Thursday for a little check up and he has gained almost a pound and he is very healthy. When Lucas was born he came out with the cord wrapped around his neck and the cord had what they call a "True knot" tied in it. The doctor told us that it is a miracle that he was born with out major health problems, the only thing that he needed was some I.V. antibiotics for a few days. God was truly watching over us and Lucas.

I guess I will back up here and tell a little more about the day of delivery. He was due on June 25Th but he decided to wait until the 27Th to make his appearance. I started having contractions Thursday at dinner and we tried to time them but they were really irregular so we decided to stop timing them. That night we prayed for a clear sign (like my water breaking or something) and not too long after that I got up to use the bathroom and my water broke! We got to the hospital about 12:30am and we got settled in our room as our parents arrived. After a few hours they came and gave me an epidural but that one did not take and the anesthesiologist was not able to make it back around for another 2 1/2 hours so I was in very intense labour for that time. In that time I dilated from a 3 to and 8 and poor Jeremy probably thought I was going to break his hand off.:) The second epidural worked and by that time it was time to push. About 20 mins. later baby Lucas came into the world at 12:49 pm

We had to stay in the hospital for 3 days because he was getting I.V. antibiotics so we got to come home on Monday morning. Jeremy and I love being parents! Lucas is such a joy and is always full of surprises (some more smelly than others!)
Please keep us in your prayers as we adjust to life with a newborn. We love you all!

Back in the Falls..

We have successfully completed our first year at SIBI! This past year has been amazing, wonderful, challenging, trying, enriching, and all around mind-blowing. We have taken some time to look back on ourselves from the time that we arrived at school up till now and we are amazed at the transformation that has taken place in our lives. We have not only grown in our knowledge of the word but we have grown in our closeness to the Lord. As a couple we have learned more about how to love each other like God loves us. As individuals we have learned how to depend on God more fully and know that He is faithful in every circumstance. We are so thankful that God is in control and we are not. He has placed SIBI in our lives at exactly the time that we would thrive in it the most.

We are now back in Wichita Falls for the summer and Jeremy is interning at Tenth and Broad with the youth. This first week he has spent most of his time at the office setting up and working on his lessons for the summer. He helped Allen this weekend with a Jr. High lock in and he is now trying to catch up on some sleep. He will be teaching on Sunday mornings this summer and his class will be focusing in on leadership. He will be taking a character from the Bible each week and looking at the leadership qualities in each. The goal of the class will be for the teens to conduct a worship service at the end of the summer so they can display their leadership skills to the church. Jeremy will also be helping with two summer camps and a mission trip to Mexico while he is here, He is going to be one busy guy!

As for me, I am just trying to relax as much as possible before Lucas arrives. I am due on the 25Th of this month so I am just in the waiting game right now. I have been feeling great so far, but I can tell that my body is getting ready. Please pray for a safe (and on time) delivery.

We love you all and thank you so much for your continued prayers and support!

Baby shower in Tulsa!

We had a great time this past week in Tulsa! We were on spring break so we decided to make the loooong car ride up to Tulsa to visit family and have a baby shower. We are always so amazed at how thoughtful and generous our friends and family are! We have started to get the room together so pictures of that will be up soon!

It's about time for an update!

I have not been very good this month about blogging have I? Well, I have been trying to wait until something blog worthy came along i guess. Jeremy has been hanging in there with all of his school work this term. Since we came off of our research week it seems like Jeremy's work load has been pretty non stop. We only have a week and a half of school left for this term and then we have SPRING BREAK! After that we only have one more term until the summer break is here. This year is going by way too fast!
Things have been going along smoothly with the baby and I have been feeling great! He is moving around ALL the time and that is the greatest feeling in the world.:) I am now 25 weeks along and i am getting bigger by the day, I love my baby bump!
We went to Wichita Falls this weekend for Chris and Lydia's wedding shower. It has been so wonderful to see Chris so happy and in love and we are all very excited about the wedding!
Please be praying for our classmates as we have had alot of illness going around the past few weeks. It just seems like the flu has hit really hard this year. Please also pray for endurance so that we can finish out this term strong. We love you all!

It's a BOY!

Here is our beautiful baby boy! We are so excited and feel so blessed to have had a very healthy pregnancy so far. To be honset I really felt like it was a boy ever since we found out I was pregnant.. I guess you could call it my motherly instinct right? :) Well anyway, we are very excited to start picking out names and baby stuff. We love him so much already!
