This is our first official baby picture! We went to the doctor on Monday and they did the ultrasound and that was the most amazing thing Jeremy and I have ever seen. I think we were just in awe of God's perfect little creation. It was moving around and waving it's little arms and legs and seemed to be so content. The doctor said that everything looked very normal and that all of my blood work came back normal as well from my first appointment. We are so excited and nervous to meet our little one in a few months! It is a little intimidating to think that we will be bringing an eternal being into this world, that we are the ones primarily responsible for bringing them to Christ. We have been in a class called Christian Home this term and we have learned so much about how to bring up a child in a happy nurturing home (the timing could not been more perfect for this class) and we have learned a lot about the do's and dont's of Christian parenting. We both were blessed to have been brought up in loving Christian homes and I think the best thing we can do is to take from those experiences in our own homes and mold them into our own lives. Please be praying for us these next few months as we prepare our home and our marriage for this little blessing. We love you all and can't wait to see you over the holidays!

Christmas time is here again!!
Well, I could not figure out how to rotate the pictures so sorry that you have to look at them sideways! We had a lot of Christmas fun this weekend with our friends Robin and Chrissy. We went and bought our trees and then went back to their house and put theirs up and we put ours up today. Now I am in the Christmas mood! :) I guess I will put a little school update here... The past few weeks have been pretty busy and this term has proven to be much more challenging. Jeremy is taking a Greek class and is doing VERY well in it. He also has a few other classes that deal more with evangelism and sermon writing. My classes are about the same but I did have to give my first little speech in my speech class this week and it went very well. We are adjusting to the idea of having a little one here in about 7 months or so and things have been going very well as far as me feeling good and all. I feel very blessed to have had almost no major sickness during the last few weeks. God is good!

It's baby time!
I am sure that most of you know this by now but I found out last Monday that I am pregnant! Yep, that's right PREGNANT. I think that both Jeremy and I are still in shock but the more that we tell people the more it is sinking in. I will have my first doctors appointment next Wednesday (Nov 14) but the nurse told me on the phone that I should be about 6 weeks along right now. Jeremy is very excited and has already put his order in for a boy. :) We told my parents this weekend and they were surprised but I know they are ready to be grandparents and Jeremy's parents are ready to be grandparents as well. We are very blessed to have parents who support us in everything that we do and I know that between the four of them our child will be VERY spoiled. Please keep us in your prayers!!

Camping
Sorry it has been so long since our last post but nothing very blog worthy has been going on. We have finished our first term! We had our finals week last week and this week we are on a break. no school, no reading,no studying... its a good thing that its only for a week cause we could get used to this. :) We went camping at Caprock Canyons earlier this week and we had a blast! The weather was great and the scenery was amazing. It was nice to get away and be able to appreciate God's creation. We only had one little critter visit us on our last night and whatever it was got into our trash and it stole the bag of cereal that we accidentally left out. Oh well, at least it got a nice breakfast. We took a hike around the edge of the canyon and we got to see the most breathtaking views we have ever seen. Overall we had a great time but it is nice to be home.

God is soooo Good!
God is good all the time! No matter what we go through either good or bad, God is still good. All good things come from him and he makes good out of all situations. Most of the time in the midst of a trial I forget his goodness and faithfulness to me. I can look back on any hard time in my life and be reminded of how he blessed me in the end. That is just one of the millions of reasons why I love God so much!
i just thought this was a pretty picture. :)

fun with the family..
We are winding down to the end of our reasearch week... it went by way too fast! We spent the weekend in Wichita Falls with the family and came back on Monday. Ever since then we have been working on papers and reading. Of course we found some time to have a little fun but we are trying to stick to a routine. Anyway, next week we will gear back up with school work and all that fun stuff. I never thought this would happen but i kinda miss being in class... strange isn't it? :) anyway, we had a fun time visiting in WF this past weekend. It was very strange to be a visitor at church but we were glad to see all of our friends that we miss so much. Here are some pics of my mom and dad and my brother and his girlfriend Lydia and some of those west Texas skies!

so richly blessed..
This week has been a fast one! Jeremy has had a few big tests this week and I had one today and we are both ready for a break. We actually have the whole week off next week to catch up on reading and get ahead on some school work and we are looking forward to it. These last few weeks have been so amazing! I can't even begin to express how much God has blessed our lives through Sunset. It is so wonderful to be around people who want nothing more than to glorify God and to do his will. Our instructors are some of the most Godly minded men i have ever meet. They not only teach the Bible but they help you to see it in ways that you never thought possible. They make the word come to life.
I am so thankful that God is so Mighty and powerful. he is our Rock and our Salvation. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is our protector and Healer. He is our Father and our Teacher. He is our one true Love. We are so richly blessed!!

yay for Chinese food!
The second week of school was pretty busy. Jeremy has been reading and studying his little head off! I think we are finally getting a routine down. Yesterday we had our first cultural experience in Lubbock with our friends Ken and Debbie from China. They had us and another another couple named Crissy and Robin over for a authentic Chinese meal. As we came into their home we took off our shoes and had a seat on the couch. Debbie served us green tea and fruit and explained to us that in China this is how you would start a meal if you were to have guests over. Next came to food and let me tell you it was great! We each had a bowl of rice and the main dishes were served family style in the middle of the table so you could just take what you wanted and put it in your bowl. We had a vegetable and chicken dish, Potatoes that were in strips and cooked in oil, spicy green beans, and eggs with tomato. They taught us how to eat with chop sticks and that was quite comical! But more that the food was the fellowship. Ken and Debbie were so sweet and hospitable to us. They have so many amazing stories of their life in China and how they came to be Christians. This is their first time outside of China and they are excited to get to know us and our culture. Please pray for them that they will have a smooth transition here and that they will continue to learn and grow in Christ. I will try in the next post to have a picture up of all of us eating with our chopsticks, it is funny!

first week down, many more to go...
We made it through our first week of classes without any major fiascoes so i think the school year will be really good. We had orientation on Monday and Tuesday and then classes started on Wednesday. Jeremy has a full class schedule where as i am only going to take classes part time. Jeremy will be taking Christian Evidences, Old Testament, Spiritual Disciplines, Life of Jesus, and Intro to Ministry Studies. I am taking Spiritual Disciplines, Public Speaking, Survey of the Bible, and Creative Hospitality. We are going to be pretty busy! There are about 4o or so people in out class and they are all so wonderful. I know that God put such a diverse group of people together so that we can learn from each other. We had the privilege to hear a little bit about how everyone came to this point in their lives.. God had done such amazing things in order to get people here! We are very excited to get to know our classmates and we already know that we have made some life long Friends. Please pray for us over these next few weeks because they are going to be pretty busy. Please pray that we will stay focused not not forget the reason we are here and that is to serve God.

Crazy times ahead....
Well, we start school tomorrow. We have been waiting for so long it is almost hard to believe it is finally here. It has been amazing to see how God has had His hand in this from the very beginning. Just thinking back on the time that we first talked about it and all the way up until now we know for sure that God has led us to this point. He has shown over and over through our fund raising and our move that this is where He wants us to be. Please pray for Jeremy through these first few weeks because it is going to be pretty busy getting to know the new routine of school. God is so amazing and we are so richly blessed.

Carlsbad Caverns
We had a very fun filled day at the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico yesterday. We went with Matt ant Christi Cameron and we all had a blast! Jeremy and I had never been before and we are very gald that we went. The cavern is so insanley large! We went 750 feet under the earth and it was down right chilly in there. I have never been inside something so huge in my life, God's creation is so awesome!

we have an offer!
We got an offer on our house today! We got the call today and looked over the offer and then made our counter offer and then they made another offer and then we said OK . ( that's totally confusing right?) Anyway, that's pretty exciting for us because we don't want to pay a house payment and an apartment payment for any longer than we have to. So that is about the only really exciting thing that has gone on this week so far. We of course have enjoying our life of leisure before school starts (we have to start getting out of bed before 10 this week). Anyway, we start at SIBI on the 13th so now we have a week to get school supplies and all that jazz. Please pray that everything on the house goes smoothly.

We made it!
So we are finally in Lubbock! We loaded up the truck last night and left early this morning. We got here about 12:30 and got everthing off the truck and now we are in a sea of boxes. During our first day we managed to not get lost (wich is a miracle in its self) and we found Wal-Mart so we are good to go. We are very thankful that Jenny's parents were able to come with us and help us get settled in. We were also very blessed to have such wonderful friends back in Wichita Falls that were able to help us load our truck and get sent off. We are going to miss all of our friends and family back in the Falls but we excited to start our new adventure here.
